AVAST Anacapa Cruisers
Join us on a “Crustation Cruise”. We are celebrating opening day of lobster season.
When: Saturday October 3, 2020,
Where: Smugglers Cove on Santa Cruz Island.
Use a pole, trap or get wet. The largest “by weight” fish and or lobster caught in the first nine hours, 6AM to 3PM on Saturday the 3rd gets the glory. Winners to be announced that evening. A large kelp bed off Yellow Banks, just south of the anchorage is a great spot and renowned for it’s sport fishing and diving. Power or sail this is a family event, come support your team.
Early departure or extending your voyage is the decision of the individual skipper. If you are new to island cruising, count on the support of the many seasoned Anacapa skippers who will be participating in this event.
Questions: Contact Mike and Angie Gram, SV Compas’s Rose at ICNUGRAM@aol.com Registration not required. We look forward to sailing with you. See you out there and don’t forget the melted butter.
Definition of AVAST”- to stop what you are doing or where you’re going.
