About the Event
Channel Islands Harbor is proudly celebrating its 60th birthday this year, partnering with numerous local businesses within the harbor to host a variety of festive and engaging celebratory events. Anacapa Yacht Club is honored to be part of these festivities by hosting a Kayak Poker Run, a fun and inclusive event designed for participants of all ages to enjoy.
What is a Poker Run?
A poker run is a fun, non-competitive event where participants stop at designated checkpoints to collect playing cards. At the end of the route, the person with the best poker hand wins a prize—no paddling speed required! All human powered vessels are welcome!
Kick off your day with adventure at our Kayak Poker Run, starting at 9:00 AM on Saturday August 16th from the Channel Islands boat launch and finishing at the Anacapa Yacht Club!
Paddle a scenic course, collect your cards, and wrap up the day with lunch at Anacapa Yacht Club, followed by a prize ceremony celebrating the best (and worst) hands.

For anyone who decides to join at the last minute, a booth will be conveniently set up near the Channel Islands Harbor Boat Launch where you can sign up in person. This location is also where the event will officially begin, making it easy to register and get underway without any hassle.
